(Woo! Hoo! I figured out how to put more than one photo per post!) This is a particularly significant discovery because, for instance, these three maps show where we went in one day. At the time, we all thought this was a really long time to spend in the bus. The refrain, "Are we there yet?" could be heard often during the day!
In the afternoon, we drove to the Zapata Peninsula, a part of Cuba so named because the shape of the peninsula is similar to that of a show and, in Spanish, 'zapata' means 'shoe.' If you look at the map on the right and imagine a shoe on its side, well, you get the picture.
