Day 3 - East to San Diego de los Baños

Tuesday, Feb. 17 - After another great walk in the woods behind the hotel on a trail called "Cueva las Perlas" (Pearl Cave), we had lunch and then boarded the bus and headed back the way we came. Our drive was to the city of San Diego de los Baños, an attractive town set in the foothills of the Sierra del Rosario. The town used to be known for its hot springs.  We arrived relatively early in the afternoon to our hotel, the Mirador, a beautiful building of Spanish-style architecture (go figure). We had supper there and were entertained by one of the best bands we had yet heard. Everyone was feeling pretty chipper and we all seemed to hit it off, until Larry appeared dressed as only Lar can.
