Feb. 23 - After checking in to our digs in Jagüey Grande, a charming place called Batey Don Pedro, we returned to La Turba Swamp in a final attempt to see that pesky Zapata Wren. As with our other attempts at this location, we heard the little charmer, but none were actually seen. We did see many warblers and some other interesting birds, but had to resign ourselves to the small comfort of knowing that the wrens were there, but did not wish to be seen!

Day 9 - On the trail at La Turba again
Feb. 23 - After checking in to our digs in Jagüey Grande, a charming place called Batey Don Pedro, we returned to La Turba Swamp in a final attempt to see that pesky Zapata Wren. As with our other attempts at this location, we heard the little charmer, but none were actually seen.
